Questionnaire with Anna from ThereSheGoes
1. Some tips for shopping vintage:
- Bring a reusable bag when you shop
- Do your research before you go to the store by checking at what the reviews are like. Don’t waste your time at a poorly rated shop!
- Bring a friend to have fun with and get a second opinion on things
- Feel and look at the materials. If you’re feeling overwhelmed sometimes it’s best to just look out for patterns and prints that stick out to you and don’t forget to feel the material to see if it’s great quality!
- Wear something comfortable and easy to change in and out of
2. How do you style a vintage item to look like your own?
It’s all about experimenting and trying out different looks. For me, I love to sit in front of a mirror and just throw a bunch of things on! You can really see what works and what doesn’t based on your taste. And if you’re still not sure, try wearing your current favorite items around that vintage item that you just got. See if that will work for you!
3. Where are some of your favorite places to shop sustainable?
I really love thrifting at Common Sort in Toronto, they have such cute and trendy pieces that are in season! And of course, thrifting at Talize and Salvation Army Thrift Store is the best way at shopping sustainably!
A shop that I really like that’s not a thrift store, and is a sustainable brand, is Everlane. I do find a lot of their items to be basics so it’s easy to implement in anyone’s wardrobe.
4. What are some ways people can be more sustainable?
I think what it comes down to is doing the best that you can and don’t stress about it! See what your lifestyle is like and make note of small changes that you can easily implement. Like for instance, bring reusable bags to the grocery store or bring in your own cutlery and metal straws for when you go out.
If you’re a big shopper then maybe try to be more of a conscious consumer and see how you can buy less or shop at brands that are sustainable and even thrift if that’s your thing! The thing is no one is perfect and if we can all make small changes in our lifestyle, it can definitely pay off makes a difference!

5. How did you get started as a content creator?
Back when I was in college I remember just admiring people who created content and who did YouTube. I remember I used to be obsessed with YouTube where I would always watch my favorite creators. It was then that my boyfriend saw and encouraged me to try it out for myself and that’s what started this whole thing. If I never got the encouragement from my boyfriend, I don’t think I would even consider creating content and doing YouTube full-time.
6. Where do you find outfit inspiration?
Online. I find all of my inspiration from different social media apps like Instagram, Pinterest, and YouTube. There’s so much content out there that you could be using! So for me I love saving images and keeping them as my inspiration and going from there.

7. How do you feel about the new sustainable lingerie collections from Cosabella?
I think it’s AMAZING that Cosabella is introducing a sustainable lingerie line and doing their part in providing for babes who love to shop sustainably! I love that they kept their style the same as their non sustainable pieces. Sometimes I find that when brands introduce a new sustainable line, the style of it is different and plain. It’s not the same as their other pieces!
8. Why is being sustainable important to you?
Sustainability is so important especially in the fashion community because it’s such a crazy polluted industry. With clothing going to waste and with fast fashion brands that release tons of collections every year, it’s only going to go downhill from there.
As our environment is in a crucial and critical time right now, it’s important to do out part to help better our world, not pollute it. I think that is what is important to me, the fact that we can help and make changes to our lifestyle to help better our environment.
9. What are some ways to style lingerie for streetwear?
I am the person for this because I LOVE styling lingerie pieces with my regular clothes! It’s such a fun look. I think it’s all about how you can add on to the look starting off with the lingerie piece. Is there a slip dress that you can wear with a cute leather jacket? What about wearing a kimono as an outwear piece? Can you wear a unitard as a tank and tuck it into your favorite pair of jeans? How about wearing a cute loose tank that shows a bit of that cute bralette you got underneath?
Those are some of the questions that I would ask myself when I’m mixing in lingerie with street style. There’s so many endless ways of styling lingerie, but at the end of the day it’s all about what you’re comfortable with wearing and how you can add on to the look!
